LILY PAD LEARNING CENTER LLC #2

The Lily Pad Learning Center offers programs for children between the ages of six weeks and 12 years old. The programs for infants through three-year-olds utilize the Little Goose/Mother Goose Curriculum, which combines research-based learning with play. This curriculum includes:

  • Social-emotional development

  • Physical development

  • Language and literacy

  • Mathematics and reasoning

  • Social Studies

  • Science

  • Creative Play

  • Second language acquisition development

Infants follow individual schedules for feeding and napping. Toddlers in Toddler Room 1 also have a relaxed schedule with a unified nap time from 9:30 am to 11:00 am and again from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm for classrooms with younger children. As the children get older, the nap schedule changes to 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.

The curriculum includes monthly themes, colors, letters, numbers, and shapes. The handbook excerpts include curriculum calendars for infants and toddlers through four-to-five-year-olds. In addition to curriculum-based activities, children participate in free play, structured meetings, language and literature experiences, learning centers, music and movement, arts and crafts. The center may also have special visitors.

Parents/guardians of infants and toddlers receive a daily report detailing their children’s activities for the day. The center utilizes the Conscious Discipline curriculum to help children learn to manage their emotions and behaviors. The curriculum, based on the work of Dr. Becky Bailey, emphasizes guidance, kindness, gentleness, and respect.
