ABOUT US

Lily Pad Learning Center is dedicated to providing a warm and nurturing educational environment for every child. We firmly believe that each and every child deserves access to a high-quality education. At the heart of our programs is the principle of kindness, which permeates all aspects of our approach. Our commitment is to offer early intervention options, ensuring that children and parents receive the support they need to thrive.

OUR STAFF

Our staff members are a dedicated and passionate group of people who are committed to providing a safe and positive environment for your children. Our aides are especially important in supporting our teachers and creating a fun and welcoming space for the kids. They're required to have a high school diploma or GED, along with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a genuine love for children. They undergo thorough background checks, serve a 90-day probationary period, and are certified in CPR and First Aid.

Our directors are also highly qualified and undergo the same thorough background checks. They're certified in CPR and First Aid, and they're mandated reporters too. If you have any questions about the qualifications of our staff, please don't hesitate to ask us at the front desk.

HISTORY

Lily Pad Learning Center (IL) opened in December 2015 but quickly became overcrowded, prompting the owner to find a new property in Litchfield to build a larger facility. Two additional centers were purchased in Hazelwood, MO, in 2019, operating in sync with the Illinois center. Lily Pad Learning Center (IL) also houses the federally funded Head Start program for children aged 0-6. The program provides parent educators who offer life skills training, hygiene routines, and cognitive activities to children in their homes. Children aged 3-6 can attend structured classroom sessions, with an all-day option and free meals provided. To apply, visit the west side entrance at 202 W. Water Street.

PROGRAM GOALS

Our goals here at Lily Pad Learning Center are specific and rigorous. We will show adequate educational growth for all children during their time here. This will be achieved through play, language development, gross-motor skills, as well as cognitive and social-emotional learning patterns. Parents will be able to visibly see the changes that their child, or children, are making here by noticing the improvements of specific mannerisms at home and their current cognitive level being consistently increased. Educational portfolios are put in place starting in our infant classrooms. Our educators will be able to provide and keep family members, and parents, up to date concerning their child’s educational gains here at LPLC.
